Hiking Days 2026: View from Križna Gora to Cerknica Lake

We invite you to a hike to the former pilgrimage Križna Gora! We will start below the village of Klance and head into the forest towards the top of Križna gora (857 m). We will circle the beautiful Church of St. Anthony. Cross and to the north, we saw the view of Bloke, Martin Krpan's hometown, and the Loška valley with Sněžnik in the background. At the end of the climb, there is a view of Cerknica, where the surface of Lake Cerknica will glisten.

Hiking Days 2026: Hike to Javorniška Baba

Discover a piece of the mystical land of Cerknica Lake by climbing to the top of Baba (1085 m) – a beauty among Javorniki! With hidden paths that lead beyond Veliki Javornik, you will be rewarded with an exceptional view of the vast Piva Basin, Snežnik, St. Trinity, Nanos, Triglav and Javornik Ridge. A path through picturesque trails, trains and forest roads will take us to the vast Javornica forests and the world of mystical karst phenomena

City of Beauty Festival

The traditional family festival City of Karst, this year for the fourth time! In addition to guided tours, performances for children, workshops and displays, there will be a Night at the Museum for Children, and a concert by Vlad Kreslin is being prepared for adults.

13. Hike from Šteberek to Karlovac

Join us on a traditional hike along the largest Slovenian lake (when it is full, of course). From the remains of Šteberski Castle along the eastern part of the lake to the western edge of the lake, to the place where Karlovac Castle once stood. Along the path that, according to the legend of the creation of Lake Cerknica, was walked and later rowed by the prince of Šteberje to reach the princess of Karlovac. You will be amazed at the secrets of the karst world!
